culture & Identity

It is a privilege to be a photographer. As indigenous people throughout ancient history we have nurtured our planet, to regrow, protect and preserve for the future. This imagery section is a reflection of that essence, our power and beauty, the femininity and masculinity of Pacific people. Whether its traditional identity or embracing the modern-day Pacific, by using this privilege I have created portraits through an editorial and artistic perspective. Our va'ine/wahine(women) especially are heavily featured in my work, a reclamation of bipoc feminine vulnerability and power.
